Indications
 Oral
Asthaenia
Adult: 400-600 mg daily.
Contraindications
 Hypersensitivity. Lactation.
Warnings / Precautions
 Pregnancy.
Adverse Reactions
 Mild agitation in elderly; allergic skin reactions.
Mechanism of Actions
 Sulbutiamine is an antiasthenic drug. It increases physical resistance to fatigue, improves neuromuscular efficiency, learning, memory and the metabolic function of the cerebral cortex.
Absorption: Rapidly absorbed in the GI tract after oral admin.
Distribution: Crosses the blood brain barrier.
Excretion: Half-life: about 5 hr.
Administration
 Should be taken with food.
