Bamipine

Indications
Oral
Allergic conditions
Adult: 50-100 mg 3-4 times daily.
Contraindications
Premature infants or neonates.
Warnings / Precautions
May impair ability to drive and operate machinery. Avoid alcohol. Angle-closure glaucoma, urinary retention, prostatic hypertrophy or pyloroduodenal obstruction; epilepsy; hepatic impairment. Pregnancy and lactation. Elderly.
Adverse Reactions
CNS depression including slight drowsiness to deep sleep, lassitude, dizziness, incoordination. Headache, psychomotor impairment and antimuscarinic effects. Rarely, rashes and hypersensitivity reactions; blood disorders, convulsions, sweating, myalgia, extrapyramidal effects, tremor, confusion, tinnitus, hypotension, hair loss.
Drug Interactions
CNS depressants e.g. alcohol, barbiturates, hypnotics, opioid analgesics, anxiolytic sedatives and neuroleptics; other antimuscarinics; MAOIs; TCAs; betahistine; ototoxic drugs. Can mask signs of ototoxicity caused by aminoglycosides.
