Dose of HMG-CoA reductase inhibitor may need to be reduced (e.g., simvastatin prescribing information recommends limiting adult maximum dose to 10 mg/day). Avoid Simcor (simvastatin/niacin) as fixed simvastatin doses exceed recommended maximum doses. |
