Antifungal Agents (Azole Derivatives, Systemic): May decrease the metabolism of Benzodiazepines (metabolized by oxidation).
Management
The following combinations are specifically contraindicated: itraconazole with alprazolam, estazolam, oral midazolam, or triazolam; ketoconazole with alprazolam, estazolam, or triazolam. Consider initial dose reductions of other benzodiazepines.
