Mechanism |
Corticosteroids (Orally Inhaled): CYP3A4 Inhibitors (Strong) may increase the serum concentration of Corticosteroids (Orally Inhaled). |
Management |
Monitor for signs and symptoms of adrenal suppression if inhaled budesonide or mometasone are coadministered with a strong CYP3A4 inhibitor. Avoid combining inhaled fluticasone with any strong CYP3A4 inhibitor. Exceptions: Beclomethasone; Beclomethasone (Oral Inhalation); Triamcinolone; Triamcinolone (Systemic). |
