Mechanism
Antifungal Agents (Azole Derivatives, Systemic): May increase the serum concentration of Protease Inhibitors. Protease Inhibitors may increase the serum concentration of Antifungal Agents (Azole Derivatives, Systemic).
Management
Limit indinavir adult dose to 600 mg every 8 hours with itraconazole or ketoconazole. With ritonavir, limit ketoconazole adult dose to 200 mg/day. Limit fluconazole, itraconazole, and ketoconazole to 200 mg (adult dose) with tipranavir/ritonavir.
