Triclosan

Indications	Topical/Cutaneous Oral hygiene, Acne, Skin disinfection, Disinfection of hands and wounds *Adult:* Available in concentrations up to 2% in soaps, creams, and solutions.
Adverse Reactions	Contact dermatitis.
Mechanism of Actions	Triclosan, a chlorinated bisphenol antiseptic, is active against fungi, gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria.
ATC Classification	D08AE04 - triclosan ; Belongs to the class of phenol and derivatives antiseptics. Used in the treatment of dermatological diseases. D09AA06 - triclosan ; Belongs to the class of ointment dressings with antiinfectives.
