Sibutramine: May enhance the serotonergic effect of Ergot Derivatives. This may cause serotonin syndrome. |
Management |
Sibutramine should generally be avoided in patients receiving treatment with ergot derivatives due to a theoretical risk of serotonin syndrome. If the combination cannot be avoided, monitor patients for signs/symptoms of serotonin toxicity. |
